Jarrah Floors
This Australian native, also called “Eucalyptus” is great for flooring, desks and accent pieces. Its rich dark brown-red markings give it a timeless look. Jarrah wood is highly durable, strong and heavy. In fact, it is one of the most durable woods in the world. It is a construction standout for several reasons; one being that Jarrah wood will not burn unless exposed to a constant flame. It is also highly resistant to dry rot, splintering and wetness. Jarrah wood is used in a variety of ways. Craftsmen use this wood type for cabinets, wall panels, furniture, docks, bridges, decking and flooring. This wood is excellent for outdoor flooring because it is highly resistant to insects. This Australian dark red and sometimes pink looking hardwood can darken with exposure to sunlight.
