Flexible Flooring Flexible flooring is needed in places with extreme traffic like the kitchen, bathroom, hospitals, schools and other places. It is also considered “resilient flooring” because of its ability to “bounce back” even after a high impact. Various types of hardwoods have the elasticity needed to be hard-wearing in these settings.
Suggestions:
Amendoim - very good steam bending characteristics.
Ash - a compact, elastic wood with good strength properties.
Beech - is hard and has elastic properties that make it a good choice for high-traffic areas, such as the floors of factories.
Cork- provides a sturdy, supple surface.
Peruvian Walnut - properties include medium bending strength, resistance to shock loads, high crush strength and low stiffness.
