Brazilian Koa Floors
Brazilian Koa is also known as “ Tigerwood” and as the name implies, it has a boldly striped appearance with backdrop colors of orange or reddish brown with wide dark brownish black striping. The color of the wood will darken with exposure to sunlight. Brazilian Koa is produced in South American countries like Brazil, Uruguay, Peru, Guatemala and Mexico. It has a high dimensional stability and has been reported to have no odor. The wood also has a high resistance to beetle attacks and weather decay.
For selective homeowners, this is an excellent choice of wood since it has a distinguishable appearance. Its uses include hardwood flooring, fine furniture, paneling, boat building and shutters.
