Brazilian Ebony Floors
Brazilian Ebony is incredibly durable and is among the hardest woods to be found. It is very desirable because of its unique color and appearance and is often used for borders and medallions in flooring. It has contrasting tones of chocolate brown with a smooth texture. It can be difficult to work with due to its weight and density but can also be brought to a polished marble like finish.

Appearance: it is purplish dark maroon to purplish black brown, with some light streaks.
Grain: mostly straight but maybe slightly interlocked.
Characteristics: durable, hard, dense with natural resilience.
