Boreal Floors Boreal is relatively soft as a wood in terms of flooring options. It is a domestic wood native to the United States and Canada. It is however popular for making floors as well as violins and furniture. It has been noted to have no odor and is susceptible to decay in its natural state and is not recommended for high impact flooring spaces.
SPECS: Appearance: its sapwood is white to faint yellow, while the heartwood is gray-white to light brown in color. Grain: a figured straight grain. Characteristics: one of the softer hardwoods.
